WELCOME TO OUR OCEAN SIDE SAUNA EXPERIENCE

General info and etiquette:

Spanish Banks is a great Sauna spot and we are hoping to keep using it for many more meaningful Sauna moments. So lets keep our impact at minimum. There is access to the Ocean for cold dips.  At high tide the ocean is close and low tide requires a bit of walking. Its great either way.  We also have the option to harvest fresh water from the creek that runs into the ocean. Please dont walk into the creek as its salmon protected. We collect fresh cold water into a tub for your convinience.

Please take time to properly cool off and relax in between Sauna rounds. We recommend the beach area as a chill zone for more privacy.

The Sauna unit we use here fits max 8 people. (9 tight). You can use essential oils with the water you pour on the rocks. You can also use refreshing cold water inside the Sauna to pour on your friends body. 

​

Please make sure fire is always burning. Sauna does not work great if fire is out. Use small and medium size pieces.  You can adjust the temperature by opening window or pouring less water on rocks.

Ideal Sauna temperature is between 70-85 C for our Sauna. 

We recommend 3-4 hot cold cycles.

What to Bring:

• Towel

• swimsuit

• Your favorite essential oils ( we have some with Sauna)

• water and fun drinks, ( hot drinks can be nice on cold days.)

• Sandals or watershoes can make Ocean access easier.

• Meaningfull sauna stories to share

• If possible leave your valuables to your car.

• washrooms usually  stay open 1 hr after sunset.

Location is where Spanish Banks creek meets the ocean. Spanish Banks central parking lot on google maps. Look for a black trailer with small chimney. We are either on west or east side of the creek that divides the lot. 

You can use your car as dressing room or the Sauna when you arrive. Washrooms are 100m away and open till dark.

Sometimes creekside has movie sets or they are fixing the shoreline with heavy machinery. In this case we will be at Locarno beach park.

Times and Rates:

Sessions lenght is 1hr50min   

Last 10 min is clean up and transition time. 

Sauna fits up to 8ppl.
